Orbital ATK Successfully Launches Military SensorSat Payload.

On Friday August 25, Orbital ATK successfully launched the ORS-5 SensorSat payload for the U.S. Air Force. The military payload was launched aboard a Minotaur 4 rocket for launch complex 46.

The U.S. Air Force’s Operationally Responsive Space-5 (ORS-5) spacecraft, will monitor satellites and space debris to aid the U.S. military’s space situational awareness. This was the fist time a Minotaur 4 rocket has been launched from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It is also the first time launch complex 46 has seen a launch since 1999.
