It Will Be A Busy Month On The Space Coast.

August is going to be a busy month here on the Space Coast of Florida. Brevard County will see not one, not two, but three rocket launches. If that was not enough NASA is also doing some sonic boom testing around Kennedy Space Center.

The first launch this month will take place at Kennedy Space Center with the launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 on the CRS-12 mission. This mission is to send experiments and supplies up to the International Space Station. Launch is scheduled for the 10th

The second launch is a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket carrying the TDRS-M space communications satellite. Launch is scheduled for the 20th

The last launch is a first for the Space Coast with a Minotaur 4 rocket by Orbital ATK with a secretive SensorSat for the U.S. Air Force. Launch is scheduled for the 25th

Late in August around the same time as the Minotaur 4 launch, NASA will be conducting sonic boom testing around Kennedy Space Center. Learn more about the sonic boom testing on the NASA site.
